The compound called Proanthocyanidins (PACs) in the juice block the bacteria from sticking to the cells in infected area, so that the body can flush the bacteria out easily. The anti-adhesion properties of cranberry also inhibit the bacteria, often associated with gum disease and stomach ulcers.
