Food Cure for Arthritis

Researchers found that people who are getting more than 200 mg a day of vitamin C were three times less likely to have their arthritis worsen.

Vitamin C is abundant in berries like strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries. It helps to slow down the wear and tear on joints. The vitamin which is also an antioxidant may keep free radicals from wreaking havoc in the joints. Furthermore, Vitamin C plays a vital role in the formation of collagen, a key component of cartilage and also our bones. Other C-rich foods are cantaloupe and broccoli.

Ginger has anti-inflammatory effects and you can reap its benefits by brewing tea with a few slices of fresh ginger. Alternatively, you can also chew one or two pieces of candied ginger or use incorporate ginger in your cooking or diet every few days.

A “sweet” solution is drinking cherry juice or using cherry juice concentrate. Cherries contain anthocyanins, a red pigment that is found in aspirins and prescription drugs, which is used to reduce inflammation in joints. So, simply put a few tablespoons of concentrated cherry juice in your drink for a good natural arthritis remedy.
